We had a great two night stay in the hotel and despite being very close to the A12, it was very quiet inside. The room was very clean, spacious and comfortable. Breakfast was tasty and plentiful.
Wow !!!! Better than the hilton. Rooms clean, dinner available on site . And free. Breakfast!!!!! And a Bar !!!! U do have to pay for parking ... but £9.00 from 5pm to 9am isn't bad at all. We travelled from Cornwall stop over ... will definitely stay again if up that way ...
We stayed here as a cheaper hotel for a business stay. The rooms were great and the breakfast was lovely. Staff were friendly too. Thank you!
The staff get all the stars. They were very very accommodating and i loved that they have little bags at the breakfast bar available so you can grab your breakfast and go if you need to leave early, like we did. Beds were comfortable and room clean. It felt like i received value for money for the first time in a long time. Well done to the team of this Holiday Inn. Thank you for making our stay very pleasant.
I stay in 50+ hotels a year and this is genuinely one of, if not the, best I’ve visited. The staff are fantastic – friendly, professional and efficient – and the whole hotel is spotlessly clean. The food is great quality and all the little touches really make a big difference to the stay. There are plenty of hotels that could learn a lot from spending a night here and seeing how a hotel should be run. Highly recommended.
The staff are truly wonderful at this hotel. The rooms were perfectly modern with everything you need, and I was awarded with a goodie bag for being a Silver Elite IHG member. I must say that Lucie the guest service manager particularly stood out to me through her very quick response to my email, and resolved it almost instantly with no hassle whatsoever! HIGHLY recommend this hotel if you need somewhere to stay in or around Colchester!
I decided to book this hotel based on the good review on Google about it as visiting a friend in Colchester. My stay (a family of 4) had an amazing time for a night on Sat and it was full of surprises. The hotel is so clean and the other reviewer was right that it is just the best comparing with the same rank hotels that I have stayed in England. It was only £50 for 4 of us including a breakfast and all staff are very friendly and helpful and all the little details offered in the hotel you could tell the management or the staff have thought about their services (see pictures for details) and I had to mention Lucie she was very friendly and helpful.
Lovely staff, very thoughtful and polite. Breakfast was good, variety of choices for continental and English breakfasts. I liked that there was a communal games room.
